Did You Know...
That TransLink provides a special service which provides access to the Prince Charles and Holy Spirit Northside Hospitals from Westfield Chermside Shopping Centre.
The FlexiLink service uses a maxi cab provided by Black and White Cabs to drop less-mobile passengers closer to their final destination inside the hospital grounds. The vehicle is wheelchair accessible and painted black with a 'FlexiLink' sign to distinguish it from other maxi cabs.
Passengers with a TransLink ticket valid for travel in zone 3 can use the Chermside FlexiLink service for no extra cost. Alternatively, a passenger without a valid TransLink ticket is able to pay the FlexiLink driver a flat rate of $2.40 each way.
Passengers can catch this special service offered by TransLink from dedicated FlexiLink stops at Westfield Chermside, Prince Charles Hospital and Holy Spirit Nothside Hospital, be sure to look out for the FlexiLink signs. However, this service also operates as a hail'n'ride, this means that passengers are able to access the service anywhere along the route, as long as the passengers wave is clearly visible on the curb and it is safe for the driver to stop.
